Q. How do I join Bunkers Golf Society?
A. At the time of writing [Feb 2015] we are sorry to inform you that our membership places are now FULL. This member cap was put in place to ensure that we provide the best possible golfing experience to our existing members and so that we are 100% committed to them. We feel that too large a society can dilute the quality of the service members experience, and the whole thing can become impersonal. We are open to guests attending and playing at our events [providing there are available spaces].

Q. How much does it cost to join Bunkers Golf Society?
A. Memembership for the 2015 season is £50. This is predominantly to cover all the deposits for the clubs we play plus our "prize pots" for the season. The cost for 2015 was agreed at our AGM on the 19th November.
Q. What else do I get for my £50?
A. From 1st March 2015 - all full members will get:
A comprehensive membership pack that is professionally produced.
A. Memembership for the 2015 season is £50. This is predominantly to cover all the deposits for the clubs we play plus our "prize pots" for the season. The cost for 2015 was agreed at our AGM on the 19th November.
Q. What else do I get for my £50?
A. From 1st March 2015 - all full members will get:
A comprehensive membership pack that is professionally produced.
- The opportunity to join a local course at a superb discounted rate.
- A Bunkers Membership Card that brings discounts [On golfing lessons, range balls, fitting, clothing and apparell]
- A Bunkers branded golf shirt.
- Golfing Insurance that covers you against personal liability, accidental damage and personal injury
- A minimum of 14 golfing events at some of the best golf courses in the North West at highly competitive prices with prizes on offer.
- Of these 12 events, 4 are Majors - meaning that they involve titles and greater prizes - CLICK HERE to see more
- The opportunity to take part in our "Last Man Standing" competition that takes place over 6 months in the summer.
- A clear, concise and well managed website and social media usage [Twitter/Facebook] that gives you full detail
- Social events, trips away and a guarantee of laughter and enjoyment through the season
Q. Where will Bunkers be playing in 2015?
A. Our fixtures for all of 2015 are now booked and you can see these by CLICKING HERE After every course we play, we leave a full review along with photographs and finishing tables of the days play. You can see these by CLICKING HERE
Q. What competitions do Bunkers play during the season?
A. At Bunkers we believe that healthy competition encourages greater fun and in turn better golf. Therefore we run a variety of competitions and records [Click on the words in CAPITALS to view the links].
4 of our 12 events in the season, are classified as our "MAJORS" and they run as close to the PGA Majors as possible. These Majors come with an annual trophy and a bigger prize pot fund.
We have an "ORDER OF MERIT" running throughout the season and also have a "WALL OF SHAME" for those of us who are unlucky enough to finish rock bottom at an event. We record members eagle holes in "THE EAGLES CLUB" and keep a record of our members "BEST ROUNDS" during the season.
We have a small penalty/fine system for silly errors and the money goes back towards our seasons events. These are called "YOINKS" and are new for 2014.
On top of this we play our "LAST MAN STANDING" competition at our home course [for those who join]
At the conclusion of the season we have an end of season event called "THE JUSTICE CUP" and our we have our END OF SEASON AWARDS PRESENTATION
Q. How do I know when to pay for things and how do I do it?
A. You will be required to pay for an event in full, 21 days before the date of play. Bunkers will always email you at least 28 days before an event as a reminder.
The payment dates are clearly marked on the information for each event in the calendar CLICK HERE TO SEE or to make it even easier....we have created a PAYMENT CALENDAR - CLICK HERE
To pay for events, we accept cash paid into any Barclays branch, bank transfer from your bank or Barclays Pingit. FULL DETAILS OF HOW TO PAY - CLICK HERE
Q. How do I keep up to date with all the Bunkers information?
A. This website is kept bang up to date with everything you need. On top of this, you will get society emails informing you of events, payment dates and any important informations.
