"On behalf of Lee Park Golf Club we are pleased to welcome all our friends in Bunkers Golf Society - some of you are already members and others this year will be playing in your LMS competition. For those who have not played here before, you will find this year we will have the best and smoothest greens in the area again plus a course layout which rewards thinking off the tees whilst rewarding those with a good short game to raised greens. |
The new spectacular lake/waterfall feature around the 18th green - together with the stunning 10th hole through the pine trees - demonstrates our ethos that our member's money is reinvested in continually upgrading the course layout and clubhouse.
Enjoy your golfing year and see you around in the clubhouse" - Steve Settle.
The 2014 Bunkers Last Man Standing Competition is being hosted by our friends at the wonderful Lee Park Golf Club in Gateacre, Liverpool. Located just off Junction 1 of the M57 or Junction 6 of the M62, this wonderful parkland course is renowned a being the friendliest golf course in Merseyside. Its also proud to have award winning greens and a highly regarded course that is beautifully cared for.
The 5959 yard, par 70 course leads some into believing it is easy, but don’t be fooled, there are plenty of sucker punches lurking along its tree lined fairways. Whilst an easy walking parkland course, the 18 holes offer a fine test of accurate driving and includes six dog-legs. It requires a good short game in order to attack the well protected raised greens.
Lee park again finds itself in the final of the coveted Golf Environment Awards 2015, which is a national award for clubs that have made significant improvements to their local environment. They are in the final 4 clubs and are up against some illustrious competiton including Royal St David’s Golf Club and Carnoustie Golf Links. Read more HERE

HOW TO BOOK YOUR #LMS MATCHES WITH THE CLUB
Lee Park operate a "roll up and play" system. This means you do not book your tee times in advance, instead you check the club calendar to make sure that there are no groups booked to play, or no competitions in place. If not, you just turn up and wait at the first tee. There is rarely a queue, and the system works well.
1 - Check the Club Calendar by CLICKING HERE
2 - You CANNOT PLAY on Tuesdays between 9-11:30am [comp] and WEEKENDS MUST BE AFTER 2PM.
3 - If there is nothing on the calendar on the time and date you want to play, then turn up and go to the "Starters Office" which is next to the 1st tee. Tell them you are a Bunkers Member and show your membership card to recieve the agreed green fee [Lee Park members obviously don't pay]
4 - Play your match, respect the course and its rules and enjoy the clubhouse afterwards
